Preballet (3-6 years)
In a playful way children make first experiences with dance and the basics of the classical ballet technique. Stories and images are used to support the motoricity of your child and give the opportunity to develop musicality and creativity. Along with this the children accustom to work in a (social) group and increase their attentiveness. Of course, joy in dancing is always the most important factor.
ballet for children (7-1 1 years)
In these classes we focus on new experiences in movement as well as the knowledge of the french vocabulary of classical ballet and its execution. It is important for us that the children develop the correct alignment right from the beginning. This will work for their advantage in their future dance career. In short choreographies, the children learn to express themselves and to grow in their theatrical skills. These experiences on stage empower their self-confidence. Next to the specific development of motoricity, coordination, musicality and creativity we will encourage the joy in movement in general.
Ballet for teens
In these classes the personal expression and individuality of the dancer comes more into focus. The dance technique will be developed further in order to enable every dancer to bring the inner feelings outwards. To make the movements look easy and delicate, a lot of work and exercise is asked from the students. This hard work will be acknowledged in soloist parts during performances.
Point work
Point work describes the work on point shoes and the special art to move just as delicate on point as on the whole foot. To avoid long-term damages, this work starts at the age of 11-12 years and only if the student has enough power in her feet and legs to support her body in the point shoes. It is important that the student makes an appointment with an orthopaedist to check if the foot can handle the extra-stress.
Students are asked to buy their own point shoes. To buy those we recommend the following address:

Contemporary
Contemporary is, as the name already suggests, a modern development that takes lots of different influences of modern dance but also of other dance techniques into account. The movements are executed in centre, sometimes at a barre, on the floor, across the floor, etc. There are no limits and the students are encouraged to also investigate and find their own movement solutions. The music used in these classes varies from classical, instrumental music as well as experimental music and indie-pop.
Dancemix
A mix of StreetDance, HipHop and Lyrical makes it possible to discover a great amount of movement possibilities. One time the focus of the class will be more on the rhythm and beat of the music, connecting it to fast foot work. The next time it could be more on the voice, drawing its movements into the room using the dancers‘ bodies. The students can find their own expression next to learning dance material and they can integrate and combine those two things into choreographies.
Ballet for adults
Age is no restriction to start with dance and classical ballet. There are many advantages to start ballet dancing as an adult: you will work on your body consciousness, your alignment and the muscular system. All of this work can have a positive effect on your posture in your daily life. The classical piano music will support your movements so that you can enjoy moving your body. The coordination of delicate armmovements and strong legs will make it possible to experience gracefulness. Each student experiences the fascination ballet in his or her own body.
Stretching
After a short warm up with some strengthening exercises we focus on body and breathing. In different exercises we work with the upper body, arms, legs and the back. Soft music supports the relaxation of the different muscle groups so that we can develop a greater flexibility of the muscles. This flexibility will work in advantage for you in dance classes as well as every day life. Furthermore, the relaxation of the muscles makes it possible to loosen tensions. In that way this course will help to develop a healthier body.
Modern Dance
In the 1920s Modern Dance developed out of classical ballet and other influences. It works in opposites, for example tension and relaxation, push and pull, free or sustained movements. The use of gravity for the execution of the movement makes Modern Dance a technique for every body. Other than in classical ballet, we work on the natural movement possibilities of each dancer to optimize those. The combination of breath and dance allows a smooth flow of movement. Chanson or instrumental, jazz or modern music support the dance, make it a joyful experience and prove that everyone is a dancer.
Pilates
